Bazball and BBQ's in a Glorious Village Setting

Junior cricket returns to Cublington CC in 2024 with a packed calendar of games, training sessions and fun.

We have entered teams into the local league at U9, U11, U13 and U15 age groups ensuring a comprehensive pathway to get the best out of the children with the aim of giving them a passion or the game which will last a lifetime. Cublington prides itself on a highly inclusive junior section where the chance to compete is not based on ability but the want to be part of a team and to understand what it means to win or lose as a group.

We are looking for new players to complement the existing squads at all age groups and encourage new parents to come with their children for a taster session to see how the training sessions work and understand how this fantastic game can build confidence and coordination in a safe environment. You don't need equipment - that can all be supplied by the club - and the team of qualified and experienced coaches will soon recognise what support the children need to develop.

The juniors all train together on a Sunday morning at a slightly later time than previous seasons (10:30 - 11:45) thereby providing the coaches with their much needed rest following Saturday league cricket while ensuring they are home to serve Sunday lunch. Should the weather allow our first session is planned for 14th April (warm drinks for parents available).

In addition to Sunday morning training we will be running both All-Stars (5yr - 8yr) and Dynamos cricket (8yr - 11yr) on a Friday night during the summer (24th May - 12th July). This is a fantastic route into the game with lots of fun games to build coordination often to the backdrop of Chairman Tom's BBQ.

Like so many sports clubs Cublington CC is run by volunteers who share the myriad of responsibilities from coaching the children, ensuring the safeguarding is correctly managed and maintaining the ground to the highest standards. If this is something any parent would like to get involved with we would be delighted to have you on board.
